$9. The New Frontier is a collaboration. The tape features the artists from 9 Houston bands singing together on the title track. This beautiful song by Tim McGlashen captures the dream of spaceflight.

The tape also includes songs by each band. The bands are Western Eyes, Twisting the Farm, The Kick, Toho Ehio, Van Goghs, The Cry, The Snakes, The Cosmetics, and Tomorrow. These are all Houston bands.

Songs on the album are The New Frontier, The Revolution is for the Future, What Will Tomorrow Bring, Dead Boy, Two Strange Eyes, Welcome (to the Real World), Purification Day, Maybe There's Hope, and Learn How to Live.

Lyrics to The New Frontier are included on the tape cover. The lyrics to the other songs can mostly be puzzled out by listening to the tape.
